Kerala – The Green Paradise Tour

Days: 6Nights / 7 Days

Day 01
On your arrival at the Cochin Airport our representative will receive you and take to the hotel. Spend the afternoon with local sightseeing in and around Cochin – the “Queen of Arabian Sea”, this is one of the finest natural harbors in the World and was one of the major centers for commerce and trade with British, Chinese, Portugese, Dutch, etc. Sightseeing attractions in Cochin include Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay is arranged in Cochin.

Day 02
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar (140 KM – 4 Hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay is arranged in Munnar.

Day 03
Spend the day with local sightseeing. Situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale, Munnar is 1600 Meter above sea level. This hillstation was the summer resort of the British Raj.Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, “Nilgiri Thars”, can be spotted. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar.

Day 04
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Thekkady (200 km, 6 Hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Proceed for the sightseeing tour of Thekkady – one of the world’s most fascinating wild life reserves. The Periyar wild life sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km of which 360 sq km is thick ever green forest. Noted for its geomorphology, diversity of wild life and scenic beauty, the sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978. Optional activities like Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride can be done at an extra cost. Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.

Day 05
After breakfast proceed for local sightseeing in and around Kumarakom – a tiny backwater hamlet perched on the western banks of the Vembanadu Lake. The stretch of backwater is spread over 900 sq. km. Choose a canoe, motor boat or a houseboat and devour the beauty of this backwater paradise at its best. Overnight stay is arranged in Kumarakom.

Day 06
After early breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam (180 KM – 04 hours drive), on arrival check into the hotel. Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum – an ancient city with a tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total area of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Overnight stay is arranged in Kovalam.

Day 07
After breakfast check out from the Hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport (15 KM) for onward journey.

Day : 01 Cochin - Kumarakom
Kerala Hill Station Tour starts on arrival at Kochi airport / Ernakulam Railway station, you will be greeted and welcomed by our representative and we will transfer you to Kumarakom. Kumarakom is a confluence of beautiful small islands and is characterized by marvelous backwaters, vast paddy fields, mangrove forests, coconut groves etc. On arrival at Kumarakom visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and later check in at the hotel. In the evening go for Sunset cruise (optional) or enjoy the beauty of backwater by just relaxing near Vembanadu Lake. Night stay at the hotel at Kumarakom.

Day : 02 Kumarakom - Houseboat
After breakfast checks out from Hotel and we drive you to Alleppey which is quite well known and popular for its beautiful backwaters. On arrival, board the houseboat which is also known as Kettuvallams, from the jetty. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through beautiful rivers and canals with palm trees, coconut trees, villages, paddy fields, churches etc. on either side. Experience the toddy outside. Enjoy the delicious and traditional Kerala food. Overnight stay is in houseboat.

Day : 03 Houseboat - Periyar (Thekkady)
After breakfast enjoys a small cruise through the lake. Later at 0900 Hrs, boat arrives at Alleppey finishing point jetty. On arrival check out from houseboat and we drive through the surface to Periyar (Thekkady) 140 km/ 4 hrs. Thekkady is famous for its Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary and which offers green forests, grass lands and various species of wild animals. On arrival at Thekkady, check into Hotel. Afternoon go for Wild life boating in the sanctuary , you may get chance to see wild animals coming out to the lake to drink water from the periyar lake , You can also explore various activities like Elephant safari, spice plantation tour, bamboo rafting , trekking etc in the periyar wild life sanctuary , Evening you can experience and explore the kerala ayurveda massage or martial art/ Kathakali etc. overnight at periyar

Day : 04 Periyar (Thekkady) - Kodaikanal
After breakfast, we will move to Kodaikanal (120kms 4hrs).Referred as the princess of hill stations, it offers the view of green meadows, shola forests, eucalyptus trees, high waterfalls, zigzag streams etc.Night stay in Kodaikanal.

Day : 05 Kodaikanal
The day is reserved for full sightseeing. Visit the Kodaikanal Lake, spread over an area of 60 acres and surrounded by wooded slopes. One can walk around a half hours between the lakes. Enjoy boating or fishing. Then move for a visit to Cocker's Walk, Golf Links, Green Valley View, Pillar Rocks, Silver Cascade Falls, and Bear Shola Falls. That night stay at Kodaikanal.

Day : 06 Kodaikanal - Munnar
After breakfast we move to Munnar (155 Kms/ 4.5 Hrs). Munnar is a picturesque hill station where the earth is dressed in green . Munnar is blessed with emerald green forests and tea plantations, small springs, small cascades, lakes and varieties of wild animals. On arrival at Munnar, check into Hotel. Afternoon is for relaxation. Overnight stay is in Hotel.

Day : 07 Munnar
After breakfast we take you for visiting the breathtaking attractions or sight seeing of Munnar - covering - Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary & Tea Plantation. You will be back to the hotel with the ever shining memories of Munnar. Overnight stay is in Hotel.

Day : 08 Munnar
After breakfast we take you for a full day sightseeing trip of Munnar – covering - Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary & Tea Plantation.Night stay in Hotel.

Day : 09 Munnar - Kochi Departure
We will pick up from Hotel and transfer you to Kochi- airport /Ernakulam Railway station. Back to your home, with the happy memories of the tour. End of Kerala Hill Station tour.

Munnar Gateway Tour

Day 1
Arrival at the airport and transfer to Munnar.  Check into the hotel.  Overnight stay the hotel.

Day 2- 3
Munnar is a magnificent hill station in the Western Ghats at about 5000 feet above sea level. This is one of the best hill stations in Kerala and is the major centre of Kerala’s tea industry. Munnar means three rivers and the town is located at the confluence of 3 mountain streams – Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. These 3 stream confluence at the heart of the town and meet all the water requirements of the settlers and visitors. Munnar has lakes, forests and several tea estates. Anaimudi, the highest peak in South India (2695 m/8883 ft.) is nearby. Munnar was the British Government’s Summer Resort in the South and it has been the favorite summer resort of the European sellers for centuries.

Major sightseeing attractions are the Kundale tea plantation, Eravikulam National Park, The High Range Club, Top Station, Mattuppetty, Devikulam, Rajamalai, Chithirapuram, Marayoor, Pallivasal/Pothamedu, etc.
