Itinerary
Day : 01 Cochin - Thattekkad
You kumarakom Houseboat tours starts on rrival at Cochin airport or Railway station. we will transfer you to Thattekkadu bird sanctuary situated on the banks of the Periyar River named after Dr. Salim Ali, the famed ornithologist . (50kms 1hr) .Check in to the hotel later spend the time exploring the natural beauty of the bird sanctuary and the lush greenery of the nearby rain forest. It houses the precious birds and rare species of migratory birds from various parts of the world including Asia and Europe . This day is free for local sightseeing Birds lagoon Activities ( optional) Bird Watching, Thattekkadu Bird sanctuary Visit Boating, Trekking, Mountain Biking, Elephant Training Centre Visit, Jeep Safari. Overnight stay in the resort .
Day 02 Thattekkady- Munnar
Wake early with the music of jungle, enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and later checkout and transfer to munnar the most favourd hill station of kerala with its beautiful teagardens, lakes wildlife sanctuaries and excellent climate round the year, Enroot stop for the mind-blowing view of waterfalls and streams. Beautifull view of Muunar hills covered with tea gardens is comparable to any tourist place all over the wold, Arrive hotel and Check in, overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Munnar
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel restaurant and start your munnar sightseeing early to cover beautifull places of munnar like, Kundala lake, Ecco point, Eravikulam national park, lakes, pristine valleys , mountains covered with exotic species of flora and fauna and Unending expanse of tea plantations . All these places are breathtakingly beautiful We are sure that you will love to visit again and again
Day 04 Munnar – Periyar
Wake up early enjoying the aroma of spice scented cool breeze . Ejoy your brekfat at the restaurant and later start you journey to The world famous Periyar Wild life sanctuary, The journey is through western ghat hills covered with Tea gardens , Cardamom and variety of spice plantations, (4 hrs/ 130 KM) on arrival check in to the hotel and later go for Wild life boating in the sanctuary , you may get chance to see wild animals coming out to the lake to drink water from the periyar lake , You can also explore various activities like Elephant safari, spice plantation tour, bamboo rafting , trekking etc in the periyar wild life sanctuary , Evening you can experience kerala ayurveda massage or martial art/ Kathakali etc.
Day 05 Periyar - Appeppey
The fresh air, sound of a bird may wake you up early to enjoy the morning sun, start your journey down the hills after your breakfast ( 140 K M /4 hrs) . The beautiful journey to the Venice of the east is thogh fresh geen tea gardens , and rubber plantations and finally through paddy fields . Occasional view of mountain streams or a water fall may compel you to stop the car. Reach Alleppey backwater and check in at hotel afternoon you can enjoy the The Palm fringed canals, or the mirror still lagoons, picture book lakesides by a motor boat or by a country made boat( own cost) , Alleppey is wold famoust for its Snake boat race using the gigantic snake boats , overnight at Alleppey.
Day 06 Alleppey Houseboat : After breakfast you will be at leisure till 1200 hrs , check ut from hotel and transfer to Houseboat , check in at Houseboat at 1230 hrs , Traditional kerala lunch will be served on board and start your houseboat cruise in Alleppey backwater, The part of the tour will be most relaxing and this is altogether a different world with its canals, rivers, lagoons paddy fields, glimpses from the day to day life in the country side , evening the boat will stop at 1800 hrs, you can get out and go for an evening walk to experience the backwater area closer, overnight in houseboat.
Day 07 Houseboat - Kovalam : Morning get up early to enjoy sunrise of backwater , also you will get a chance to see fishermen catching fish of boat men selling household items in their small canoe , After breakfast the boat will move again for a morning cruise, you will check out from the houseboat at 0900 hrs and proceed to Kovalam beach. The journey is through costal areas of Kerala, you can see , view of lagoons rivers, evergreen coconut palms make this journey very enjoyable , Reach Kovalam and check in at your hotel It is one of the beast beaches of India with its lovely slice beach sand and perfectly positioned palms. Evening relax on the kovalam beach . Overnihgt at Hotel.
Day 08 Kovalam -Trivandum- Kovaklam
after the breakfast start your tour of Trivandrum and Kovalam beach , Trivandrum is the Evergreen city of India where it offers a feel of natural beauty, commercial touch up and even pilgrimage. Visit: The Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum, Sri Padmanabha Temple. In the evening move back to Kovalam. Overnight is at hotel in Kovalam.
Day 09 Kovalam kanyakumari
Enjoy the sunrise on the beach, after breakfast checkout from the hotel and transfer to kanyakumari enroot visit majestic Padmanaphapuram The capital of the State of Travancore. built in the Travancore architectural style arrive kanyakumari and check in at hotel afternoon go for kanyakumari sightseeing . Visit Vivekananda Rock that houses a memorial dedicated to Swami Vivekanan .The Memorial is built at the convergence of the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Day 10 Departure:
